Thanks, I am using JDK 1.3.1 and I am getting the impression that this may
be the cause of it ! thanks for your comments, I have JDK 1.4.1 on my
laptop and I think that it's going to be far easier to build and run the
tests from there.

I can report my success story with windows if it helps.. WIN2000 + nighly
build 2002-10-01 + jdk1.4.1 builds and works perfectly. (Clean and fresh
win
and java instalation done only for jmeter).
