wow, that is some heafty requirements. You're going to need a big box, something atleast a Sun E4500 or bigger. Probably bigger with gigs of ram. Launching 3K concurrent threads on one box is going to stress the system quite a bit. I'm not sure I understand your setup. What I would do is this. 1. host server that will accept the requests 2. a jmeter server 3. a dozen PC's with 1gig of ram running 250-300 threads each peter lin

I have this machines to do the test, but I cant use the JMeter server-client arquiteture because they are different machines and the client runs the same number of threads in all of the machines. It would help to get some idea of what kind of load you're trying to simulate. If you're trying to simulate 3K unique concurrent visitors, then you will have to get 5-15 machines to produce the load. If you're trying to simulate 3K requests, then you don't need that many threads. I have experience simulating huge loads, but most of the time, it is in terms of requests per second or minute and not in terms of 3K concurrent users. I hope that helps. what I mean by huge load is websites that get 10million+ page views a day, and 10-15% of 1 million subscribers using the service at any given time. peter lin Angelo Ferecini Neto wrote: Hello, I need to simulate 3000 users and Im trying to use some JMeter servers and 1 JMeter Client. The problem is: the machines aren't equals and have different capabilities. Some can start 400 threads, other 1300. JMeter starts the same number of threads in all servers. Did anybody in this list try to do it before?
