even if you were to use a commercial product like Mercury load runner, I don't think one physical system would be able to simulate that kind of load effectively. Especially if you're using windows as the client. by default, windows allocated 1Mb of memory for each new thread. Therefore, to simulate 3K clients on one system running windows would require a minimum of 3Gb+ ram. peter lin
