There's not a lot I can suggest, apart from perhaps trying version JMeter 2.1.1 - that may have some slightly better diagnostics. However, it's unlikely that this will stop the disconnects from occurring. Alternatively - or as well - try swapping to the Apache HTTP Client sampler. For details, see: extras/ConvertHTTPSampler.txt This might have more effect, because the Http Client sampler handles sockets itself, rather than letting Java pool them. It means that each thread uses its own set of sockets.
