Hi all,
I had run my tests by configuring jmeter for two cases:
With an HTTP cookie manager at the thread group level with the cookie
policy set to "compatibility".
With an HTTP cookie manager at the the thread group level with the cookie
policy set to "ignoreCookies".
Not sure where you are setting the policy.
I am using Jmeter2.2 and the Sampler that I am using HTTP Request HTTP
Client in both the cases. But I dont see any differences when i look at
the Sampler Result Tab of the View Results Tree Listener(also attached at
the thread group level). In both cases I see that cookies are set in the
response of the first request and Jmeter sends those cookies back in all
subsequent requests.
JMeter sets the HTTPClient cookie policy to "ignoreCookies". This is
because JMeter uses the Cookie Manager to determine whether or not to
send cookies.
If you don't want to send cookies, then just make sure that there is
no cookie manager in scope for the relevant samplers.
I want to know what is the effect of setting the cookie policy to
"ignoreCookies"?
