I have made a comment to your bug report, because I realized it is
the same as bug 41518.
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41518

I have also just attached a patch to 41518, which I think fulfills
your needs.
We'll have to see if the patch is accepted.
