Recording through the proxy

Hi,
 
My setup to use the HTTP proxy server is correct in that HTTP requests are 
being channelled through the proxy when it is started. However I find that when 
I add in a Recording Controller that its behaviour is very erratic. Very often 
it just doesn't record anything I am using JMeter 2.3.1
