I don't think so.

There were some problems with samples being stored in the wrong place
and/or recorded samples overwriting each other, but I think those were
fixed before 2.3.1.

If samples are not being recorded it's probably because the browser is
not sending them to  JMeter. Try stopping the proxy and see if the
browser still works.

One other possibility - check the jmeter log for errors.
Though I would expect that an error that causes the sample to be lost
would also show up as a browser error.

I just checked, and there don't seem to be any relevant proxy changes
since 2.3.1, but if you want to try the current code, you can always
try one of the "nightly" builds. These have not been reviewed, so use
with caution.
