I have just checked in code that makes the default 'model number' start numbering from 0 instead of 1 This was done for compatibility with RasMol. However, having made this modification I am now having second thoughts. This means that animated frames of .xyz files are going to start with '0' instead of '1' I fear that this will be a problem for existing users. I think that I need to roll back this change ... but am interested in comments from others.
