Egon,

I went to jchempaint.sf.net in order to start the process of becoming
familiar with JChemPaint. My goal is to understand it a bit more so that I
can start thinking about 2D rendering integration with Jmol.

First, a couple of links to the sf project pages are broken. The
introduction page:
  http://jchempaint.sourceforge.net/JCP_Intro.html
under "How can I participate?" makes several references to:
  http://sourceforge.net/projects/CompChem
This project is not known by sourceforge.

Q: I assume that you want the 2D rendering from JChemPaint, not the
editing stuff at this time. Please confirm.

Q: Is the 2D renderer in cdk just cloned code from JChemPaint?

Q: If they are from the same code base, should I start working from
JChemPaint or should I start from cdk Renderer2D? Which do you recommend?

Q: Should I pull JChemPaint sources as anonymous, or should you add me to
the developer list?

Q: Assuming that JChemPaint and cdk/Renderer2D are related, who worked on
the initial migration? Is he/she still actively associated with cdk?

Miguel
