I have just checked in the last of Dave Chandler's early Ribbons code. And to me it looks absolutely *great*!
It still needs some work (the ribbons aren't really *ribbons* and there is no shading), but it is on the right track and it is extremely gratifiying to see it operational. Dave has done an excellent job and deserves a round of applause. I encourage you to try out the 'ribbons on' and 'mesh on' commands ... and then watch the progress over the next few weeks.
