As soon as you can play with it, you will see how it works instantly. 
It's just like select and restrict. It is not cumulative, so it hides 
whatever you wish, and unhides anything else at the same time. If you 
wanted to add more to it, you would use:

hide :A
hide hidden or :B
hide hidden or :C

etc.

I really think once you try it, you will find it quite simple, because 
it is exactly like select and restrict. The key is the ability to use 
"hidden" in the same way one uses "selected"

Give me a few other hypothetical scenarios, and we'll see how to 
construct the term.
