Obviously the glass is half full or the glass is half empty. For now, 
I'm implemented this as

translucent 0.0  == "opaque"

I figure that in the future, if we want opacity, we can add

opaque 0.0 == "transparent"

(But of course, we already have "opaque 0.0" -- it's called "hide").
