Initial Comment:
At the Concord Consortium we have incorporated Jmol into a larger Java program 
called the Molecular Workbench. One of the features we added to it is the 
ability to place an image in the container. I think this would be a cool 
feature for Jmol, in general, to be able to do. Check out an example here:

yes, very nice. In fact -- if that's based on modifying the Jmol code, you
need to send us patches to show how you did it so we can incorporate those
changes into Jmol -- based on the license. Is the Molecular Workbench open
source as well?
