As far as I can tell it uses the HTML5 rendering engine. (Javascript 
load messages appear frequently at the bottom. Without popup menu or 
command input/console I can't check directly.)
My browser usually asks for the permission to run a Java applet, but it 
didn't ask for your viewer. So your Java detection method doesn't seem 
to work properly.
Is there a way to force Java mode?
