I don't think the perl script will convert Chime *scripts* into Jmol
scripts; it converts the html that calls the Chime plugin into html that
calls the JMol applet.

but...
one of the goals of JMol development right now is compatibility with the
Chime and RasMol command languages - once that happens, JMol should
recognize existing Chime and RasMol scripts *without* conversion.

a lot of commands already work in JMol, but there are many more that do
not. if you want to test a particular command, you can go to

<http://www.molvisions.com/community/jmol/jm_callback.html>

and enter your command in the entry slot (I will modify this utility to
accomodate entire scripts post haste). you should see the effect on the
3D structure, and the response of JMol in the output textarea (sorry but
this does not yet work in OSX browsers - it will very soon, I hope).

if any commands don't work, you can request that they be supported.

hope that helps,

:tim
