I believe that both Miguel and Egon gave perfectly acceptable answers to your question almost immediately; for example, Miguel sent (2004.04.11 at 4.33p [+0200gmt]) : >To the best of my knowledge, you are 'condemned' to a web browser. > >One other person asked me this a couple of months ago. > >I will do a little investigation to see if there is a better >solution. > >It should be possible (and ... it seems to me ... not too difficult) >for someone to build a generic ActiveX/OLE control for Windows that >would allow one to embed any arbitrary applet within MS Office >applications. in addition, Geoff Rowland offered the alternative of using HTML, which prompted me to share my own experience on trying to do both. I apologize for not changing the Subject line of the message. >I was disappointed with some of the responses ... some people >thought it clever to cast aspersions on my choice of presentation >software. This is neither helpful nor particularly novel. > casting aspersions refers to malicious slander, and I hardly feel this thread qualifies as such. you have had a handful of direct answers to your question. but you are asking to use PP to do something that a browser and html can do much better. if you try to put a square peg in a round hole, don't be offended if someone points out that a round peg would fit better. btw, I found the PP articles amusing - did you look at the David Byrne article that Phil Barak posted? David Byrne actually uses PP as a new form of art. I find it a fascinating example of the connection between computers and creativity. again, hardly slanderous. regards, :tim -- timothy driscoll molvisions - molecular graphics & visualization <http://www.molvisions.com/> usa:north carolina:wake forest ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
