I suggest that Jmol show the model number. >>Q: *Exactly* what appears in the status bar when one clicks on an atom in >>Chime? >> > using 1az0 which still behaves strange in Jmol > http://www.imb-jena.de/cgi-bin/SCOPlnk.exe?JMOL=1az0&SCOP=SCOP%201.65 > > RasMol: > Atom: CA 4070 Hetero: CA 283 > or if there is a chain, > Atom: CA 1834 Group: LYS 245 Chain: A > and if there would be a Model, > Atom: CA 1834 Group: LYS 245 Chain: A Model: 1 > would be added > > Chime status line looks just the same, but didn't show any Model info > Atom: CA 4070 Hetero: CA 283 > Atom: CA 1834 Group: LYS 245 Chain: A > > Jmol:Hoover, I think it would be a nice idea to add the residue number > e.g. CA [CA]283 > CA [CA] It is not clear to me where you want to add this residue number. > Jmol:pickCallBack, the numbers are still wrong > atom 4065 > CA CA 72448 Chain: > Jmol:Status > CA CA 72448 Chain: Yes ... It turns out that it is very expensive to correctly solve this problem with 100% accuracy. I suspect that Chime is using some 'approximation' to guess which residue of a cartoon/trace was clicked on.
