The documentation for "Applet Caching and Installation in Java Plug-in" <http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/docs/appletcaching.html> states:
"JAR files should either be listed in archive or cache_archive, but
not both."So, you will have generate different applet tags depending on your target Browser/JVM :-(
