Having a nice clean way to incorporate Python, Perl, C (and even Fortran?)
external modules (perhaps even system calls to run external programs to
get results back in a structured way) would open up Jmol to accessing a
lot of functionality. I do almost all of my crystallographic calculations
these days via perl (and a little fortran) and I'd really appreciate being
able to piggy-back Jmol on top of the stuff I already do without having to
ask Miguel (or others) to add some function into an already overflowing
queue of requests.
