The density of the dots is automatically controlled. There is currently no user-control. Unit for measuring the cutoff levels is pixels/angstrom. If you think that the cutoff values should be changed then we can talk about that. By reentrant surfaces do you mean saddle or concave? I have not see the issue of them being dark.
