Script command: color dots red
Rolf,
dots on; color dots red;
Always worked ... I assumed that one would do 'dots on' before doing a
'color dots red'
Coloring your dots before calculating the dots with 'dots on' did not.
In my interface I need the same color for all available rendering types
for specific parts of a protein.
Initially I highlight for example residue 1-10 with 'trace 150; color
trace red'. If the user now switches on 'cartoon' or 'dots', the
resides 1-10 are supposed to stay red. Since there is nothing like
'color all_rendering_types color_specification' available (as far as I
know), the only way to achieve this is to use 'color trace none; color
cartoon none; color dots none; ...; color atom red'. This used to work
at least until version 10.00.36.

Rolf
