Quoting Miguel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Initially I highlight for example residue 1-10 with 'trace 150; color
trace red'. If the user now switches on 'cartoon' or 'dots', the
resides 1-10 are supposed to stay red. Since there is nothing like
'color all_rendering_types color_specification' available (as far as I
know), the only way to achieve this is to use 'color trace none; color
cartoon none; color dots none; ...; color atom red'.
All of the shapes will, by default, inherit the atom color.
The highlighting types used in my interface are quite complex.
Therefore the scricpts cannot be sure that all shapes are still in
their initial state of inheriting atom color and must set this
explicitly when they are invoked by the user.
This used to work
at least until version 10.00.36.
Q: Are you saying that it does not work now?
I guess this still works. I just wanted to say that 'color dots none'
before 'dots on' used to work until version 10.00.36.
Regards,
Rolf
