hi all,

currently, if you apply a label to an atom in Jmol, the visibility of the label is determined by the z position of the atom. this has the effect of obscuring labels that are 'behind' other parts of the visible structure. in general, I like this behavior, for many reasons.

however, I am in the process of converting many hundreds of Chime resources to Jmol, and a lot of the labels are obscured because of this behavior. since I don't have time to manually tweak all of the labels in all of the resources, I thought I'd ask: is there a way to force Jmol (via script command) to use the old "Chime-style" label behavior, where the labels always appear in front of the entire structure?

thanks for any help,

tim
