I would like to put a colored bar with a numeric scale indicating the values of each color in the electrostatic potential surface (EPS).
As far as I know, this is not possible in Jmol.
Also, the only way I am getting a rainbow surface for my EPS is loading other surface (I load the electron density) and mapping it to the electrostatic potential.
This sounds like the correct way to get the rainbow MEP coloring. The data on MEP must be mapped to an existing surface, and then colored.
The Jmol scripting documentation at http://www.stolaf.edu/academics/chemapps/jmol/docs/?ver=11.2appears to be down at the moment. A more specific link (part of same documentation) that may help: http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/examples-11/surfacedemo.htm? scripting=1;demo=8
