Ok, I will give a few explanations again.
The current translation mechanism should have no problem with the sentences
length, so it should work nicely with the Web Export.
There's not a lot of work in modifying the Web Export part to allow translators
to do their job on it.
Basically, in the Java code, rather than directly using English text, you
should simply call the GT._() method with the Engish text as parameter. For
example, instead of:
setLabel("Save As");
you should do:
setLabel(GT._("Save As"));
When the sentences are variable, it's a little more complex but not much. You
can use an other form of the GT._() method. For example, instead of:
setLabel("Hello " + name + ". Today is " + day);
you should do:
setLabel(GT._("Hello {0}. Today is {1}", new Object[]{ name, today }));
That's all the work the Java developer needs to do. After that, the English
sentences will be automatically added in the translation mechanism so that
translators can do the translation for their favorite language.
