Hi Bob,

Thanks for your message.

Your suggestions would be great if I knew a priori what the atom labels
up to the '?' were, but I don't. I need a wildcard filter that selects
all atoms whose names end with (or even just contain) a literal '?'.
Before I had this problem, as a new Jmol user I assumed I would be able
to select an atom expression something like this:

*\?

meaning any CIF atom with a name than ends with a literal '?'. It must
match any start (i.e. any atom type and number). I guess the reason this
is currently impossible is because there is no way to escape the '*' or
'?' wildcard characters. Is there any chance that this might be possible
in the future?

Many thanks,

Ian
