The issue is not with the application, only the signed applet. Since the signed 
applet is being delivered over the web, I felt it important to set it up so 
that it could not write to disk without a prompt. Otherwise you could just load 
a page, and a malicious developer might start the applet writing over files on 
your hard drive.
