How do I set the default directory for writing files in the Jmol application?

set defaultdirectory ...
works for reading files, e.g. scripts and PDB files. Great!

DOCUMENTATION says defaultdirectory is for the applet only but it
works for the application.

set currentlocalpath ...
does not affect where the "write" command puts a PDB file. It still
puts the file in the directory from which Jmol.jar was started.

Tested in 12.0.12.
