set pickingstyle toggle;
set picking identify;
2nd -- rubber-band mode
set modelkitmode off;
select none;
selectionHalos on;
set pickingstyle drag;
set picking select atom;
3rd -- measurement mode
set modelkitmode off;
selectionHalos off;
set picking measure distance;
set pickingstyle measure #showMeasurementTable;
4th -- center-picking mode
set modelkitmode off;
selectionHalos off;
set picking center;
5th -- modelKit mode
set modelkitmode;
selectionHalos off;
Not suggesting this was terribly well thought out. Suggestions welcome.
