Ciao Paolo

if after your commands you type
  show draw
you will see this:

  draw ID "grid_box" POLYGON 8 {18.908 -15.639 7.5060005} {34.658
-15.639 7.5060005} {34.658 -15.639 25.506} {18.908 -15.639 25.506}
{18.908 0.11100006 7.5060005} {34.658 0.11100006 7.5060005} {34.658
0.11100006 25.506} {18.908 0.11100006 25.506} 12 [0, 4, 5, 3] [5, 1,
0, 3] [1, 5, 6, 2] [6, 2, 1, 3] [2, 6, 7, 2] [7, 3, 2, 3] [3, 7, 4,
2] [4, 0, 3, 2] [6, 5, 4, 0] [4, 7, 6, 0] [0, 1, 2, 0] [2, 3, 0, 0];
  draw ID "grid_box" fill noMesh noDots notFrontOnly fullylit;
  color draw translucent 0.5 [x64ff64];

So I guess you could recode your script to do that directly -- may or
not help the export "bug" you have.

It's nice to know that the IDTF exporter is getting good use. Are you
by chance doing PDFs from that, or is it a different target?
