I have an iPad 2, and I agree that this thing was probably not retro-fitted. It
might be interesting to see how JSmol is functioning on newer iPads with the
new OS.
Having said this, on my iPad 2 with the new OS, Puffin is dramatically faster
than Safari with basic model rotation/translation - still a bit buggy, but much
faster.
I'm using the free version of Puffin, and things slow down when an ad pops up,
however.
