Hi all I am sharing this since it may be useful for others, or be a case to clarify capabilities and recent changes.
I am accessing 4WZ7 from RCSB PDB, which is Deposited: 2014-11-18 Released: 2015-03-25 This is a large complex and apparently RCSB has removed the download pdb / pdbgz file options, even from the web GUI. Accordingly, when I enter in the Jmol console load =4WZ7 there is a load error As a workaround I have found load =4WZ7/dom which the doc says retrieves some extra information, but also retrieves in mmCIF format and so it opens successfully in Jmol I have not found a command to force download in mmcif format without any additional information. Is there one? By the way, Europe PDB fails to deliver the file. All of these give a file not found error.
