I haven't seen the original message, so I cannot judge fully what the problem 
is.

I do not think that defaulting to StOlaf will be good. People will not realize 
that is a temporal solution, and it will stay forever as such.

Based on my experience in courses, one cause of trouble is to work in E2W 
with just the Jmol.jar file. Missing js files will bring that sort of trouble. 
But the 
users need to be trained on the procedure and files needed.

Actually, I started writing an update of Export to Web tutorial back in the 
Xmas holidays, but I had to abandon that for lack of time. Maybe this was 
one of the issues (I had people practicing E2W last December, and the ideas 
popped)
I should be picking up that project soon.
