Angel and list,

Have modified the code as suggested and it seems to be working fine. Thanks.

As to why my code was convoluted (did you really want to know?). One sets these
things up years back, then it becomes obvious that the Java web plugin is
doomed and one is overjoyed to find JSmol. And one takes a quick look at the
new code and does a quick fix that seems to work, and leaves it at that.

However this time trying to make it “responsive” (I’m still iterating the
graphic design) one wants to start with everything working again. I must
reiterate that JSmol is a real life-saver. (And I’m happy to upgrade as the old
version showed code while it loaded, whereas this one does not.)

So, it’s a little thing, but it’s nice that it works on an iPhone 5. Buttons
underneath each other a bit too close. Not sure if that can be fixed.

David
