Hi There

I've been following the conversation re the advertising of our job openings on the ctjug.   Here are a few comments from our side.

We are a bonifide IT recruitment company which currently have so many requirements for good java people that it is almost coming out of our ears - and hence the number of ads.    We are being asked by our clients to look as wide as possible for the right people.   We are currently talking to Java people in Durban and CTN as well as SA citizens wanting to come back from the USA/UK etc.

The [EMAIL PROTECTED] was setup specifically for the purpose of advertising JAVA jobs.  If you (as a collective) do not want agencies to post here, then go ahead and make the decision and communicate to all.   We would accept the decision.

If however you would like to know about Java openings that are being advertised by agencies, but for some reason you prefer not to see any ads from us - then a simple filter can be setup that would delete/ move ads to a different folder for any jobs originated from our side.  All our jobs are send with a specific Subject field - we try not to be to clever and change the subject randomly.

If you would like to see our ads, then do nothing.    We get new openings (not just java) on almost a daily basis and post these as an when they come in.  Obviously you would only get the Java jobs unless we have a problem with our ads system.

We are not here to abuse the privilidge of posting ads on the ctjug.  We are a business who's core function is to match people with jobs.  Just like the companies you are working for, we are required to show results (i.e. place people) in order to earn a living.  We try to be as creative as possible to get to the right candidates and companies and we search as far and wide as possible.  I can assure you that if you are looking for a top Java architect or consultant to make a difference for your own company, you too would want to make sure that as many of the the best people in the industry are getting informed of your requirements so you can choose the best.

I guess if you see it from our point of view, it all makes sense - but then that's only from our view.   Any constructive comments would be appreciated.
