About Us:
We're a venture backed technology company based in TriBeCa, New York
that is experiencing rapid growth and has achieved tremendous success
building mobile phone based applications. Our content is very cool
and utilizes SMS / WAP (mobile internet), and WEB. The content is
all about living a hot, fun lifestyle in the city--e.g., latest in
restaurants, nightlife, style, technology, gadgets and gear and for a
hip, trend-seeking crowd.
About You:
You will be our lead developer. Not only will you have great
development skills but you are someone who is a strategic thinker and
can make technical decisions. Amongst other things you will
collaborate with operations to steadily improve the scalability of
the current site, while helping develop some really cool new tools
and application features. Your work will be critical to meeting our
growth and profitability targets and ensuring that our users
experience a cool and consistently fast service.
Key Requirements:
• Experience working with LAMP systems
• Expert knowledge of PHP5, DHTML, CSS and Javascript
• A strong understanding of HTML and coding for cross platform/
browser compatibility
• Minimum of 3 years of strong Object Oriented design and programming
experience
• Impressive front-end development skills (AJAX)
• Experience with XML
• Knowledge of basic Linux systems administration skills
• Entrepreneurial excitement, a positive attitude and hunger to get
things done
Bonus Skills:
• Experience working with content management systems
• Familiarity working with the Symfony PHP framework
• Experience with Memcached, APC, Zend Optimizer or other caching
engines
Compensation:
Competitive salary from $70,000 to $90,000 annually and stock option
participation
