What would be the benefit? How often do I add an era to convert 2006BC
to 2006AD? Some calendars support multiple eras, but they may be of
irregular length. Calculating jumps of multiple eras may be tricky and
still not likely to be useful.

In writing tests for LocalDate I found that we don't have a duration
field for Era. Is this right?
Era is unlike any other duration field (like years or hours) because
it has no real estimated length. However, we should be able to add one
to the era of the date 2006 BC and get 2006 AD.
This has peculiar properties, in that the amount added is small close
to the year zero and large far from the year zero. We could handle
this by averaging the difference.
So, should we add an eras duration field?
