FWIW, I compiled this and dropped it into my app with zero impact. It uses Joda with the hibernate mapping classes as well as the Google RFC 2445 interface (handling recurring datetimes).
Nice work. The Joda team's emphasis on compatibility and the documentation of same is fantastic and refreshing. Thanks to Grzegorz for reminding me that open source is not a one-way street.
