Hmm.. logfiles getting crowded with unecessary updates, (i have to admit, this one's a tad circumstancial).. Having to reset/reconfigure stuff everytime, interrupting batched processes, losing rollback/undo capabilities (on some apps), committing changes you didnt really want to commit -yet-, interrupting volatile data accummulation, getting users real pissed off hehe.. :) there could be other technical stuff, /me cant think of any..
