there is something once happened with one of my customers, almost the same thing, when i was troubleshooting the problem i found that there is a cable connected between the two networks switches in addition to the routing device between them which caused alot of problems just like yours. so i thought you might be facing the same thing. but it seems you dont.
but when you told me that the ethernet is not working and sometimes you are not able to access the internet but to access the company LAN, you know its not resonable when i thought of it. any way try changing the ethernet and see if this solves the problem, i hope it does cause its very strange.
