I'm gonna jump the gun here and try to answer your next question :) 1) Go to: System -> Administration -> Software Sources 2) On the "Ubuntu Software" tab make sure that under "Downloadable from the Internet" all four sources are selected (main, universe, restricted and multiverse). 3) Close this windows; the system should ask to reload the package lists, choose to "Reload". 4) Go to: Applications -> Add/Remove... 5) Search for and install "Ubuntu restricted extras" 6) You might also want to install "Macromedia Flash Plugin"
Now you can play your mp3, wma and wmv files. Enjoy!
