This will be easier now thanks to CVS.
This information was not really published until now. The only information you can find
is to read the release notes provided with each version ($JONAS_ROOT/ReleaseNotes.txt)
Basically, 1.4 version fixed some bugs (one of them was a memory leak because bean
instances
was not freed) and add some features (JDK 1.2 / EJB 1.1 support)
1.5 version is only a re-design of jonas mainly to use a preprocessor and to put it
in CVS.
I think you should use the new version of JOnAS for your developpements and
to use it thru CVS if you intend to modify the code. Thus, you will be able to easily
merge
your work with ours. Just type a "cvs diff -D today" and you'll see all the
differences.
Doing a "cvs co" will allow you later to get the last jonas version (before it will be
release
on the web site) But be aware that this version may be less stable than the official
released one.
