Yes we know we have to improve that, and it is planned for the following
versions.

Yes. This is already done for Jeremie.

Jeremie already uses RMI(IIOP) except for object by values.
We are working on full IIOP. We expect it to be available at the
beginning of next year.

Yes, we are actively adding features.
Version 2.1 is a major new version which has brought a lot of new
fuctionalities (pool of stateless session beans, activation/passivation
of entity beans, multiple containers, security, deployer tool, etc..)
and very singnificative performances imporvements.
Version 2.2 will be available very soon providing a new jdbc service and
Joram integration to provide JMS suport (JMS integration is already
available under CVS in the 2.1.2 version).
There are a lot of contributors to JOnAS and technologies used within
JOnAS in different organization (Evidian, INRIA, FT, Lutris) and in the
open source community.

According to the answers to a questionnaire sent to the jonas-users
mailing list last June, 50% of the jonas-users are running operationnal
applications with JOnAS.
