Philippe,

Thanks for this new release.

Since I don't want to take credit for work I didn't do, I should perhaps
clarify: my contribution to security was identifying and proposing fixes to
a couple of bugs in the JRMI security implementation. I did not do anything
to extend security to work with RMI (although I guess the bugs would have
affected that too :).

One question about 2.2.2: does it address the memory leakage problems that
various people (including myself) are experiencing with Jeremie under
2.1.1?

With thanks,
Joe

Subject: JOnAS 2-2-2 is available

Here is the new version of JOnAS: JOnAS 2.2.2

What is new in JOnAS 2.2.2?

- Integration with JMS via Joram the ObjectWeb implementation of JMS
  (http://www.objectweb.org/joram/joramHomePage.htm)
Any kind of EJB component can send and synchronoulsy receive
   messages.
Message send and receive operations may be involved in distributed
transaction.
- Security features that were available with Jeremie are now available
with RMI thanks to contributors John Ellis and Joe Gittings
- New Jonathan/Jeremie package (jonathan 2.0.2)
- The jonas sources have been repackaged to extract jonas_ejb and
jonas_tm
from the rest of jonas. These modules are used both in jonas and
enhydra projects.
- some bugs are fixed for example the "mixed transactions" problem in
multithreading.

What is planned in the next future?
- Message Driven Beans
- activation and passivation stateful session beans.
- ejb-ref/ejb-link
- new pool of jdbc connections provided by Lutris.

We hope you will satisfy with JOnAS 2.2.2.
We are very interested by your feedbacks
thanks!
