hi everybody..
I'm in a situation where I have to send control and information from a bean
to a remote process, whether in another JVM or on another machine
altogether. I can implement this using JMS, but that would mean that all
calls to functions from the bean will be a-synchronous, and can only reply
using access to another bean. Alternatively, I can use the bean to get a
hold of an RMI object in the remote process, and then call its functions,
which will allow me to get a real-time response.
my question is, can I do that, and what are the implications, if any, of
this action?
are there any security issues involved (I heard there may have been security
issues with the Inprise AS) or is it something not normally done in the EJB
world?
thanks..
