I am a COM+ developer who is interested in moving to EJB. I came across the JOnAS site and am very interested in getting started with it, however, I had a few questions:

1. Is JOnAS basically an EJB version of the COM+/MTS type architecture/server? Can I expect to find much of the same functionalty, handling of transactions, security (e.g. running my components under a certain user identity), etc as COM+/MTS?

2. In order to use JOnAS, do I need to download anything other than just Java's J2EE? Do I need any EJB classes as well?

3. Is this the same type of thing as WebLogic?

Thank you for all your help. I am quickly becoming a BIG proponent of Open Source. The speed at which developers can learn the framework and at which improvements are made is astounding.
