<<And I DO have that Nick DeCaro 'Italian Graffiti' album - if you still need Joni's
"All I Want" from it, just lemme know.>>

Cool! I've tried to track that one down with no luck, so I'd love the assistance. If
you're comfortable with it you can send me the album and I can dub it direct to disc,
or you can record the track on high bias tape and send me the tape, or if you're
REALLY hi-tech, record it as an MP3 and e-mail it to me.
Obviously, I will gladly return your source media to you at my expense, and send you a
complimentary copy of the compilation when it's completed.

<<Oh, and how about 'The Best of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross' on Columbia #C32911 from
1974 (previously released as 'The Hottest New Group in Jazz' as CS
8198) collecting the original recordings of "Twisted" (Annie Ross - solo),
"Centerpiece", and "Summertime" (which, we know, Joni sang on 'Herbie Hancock's
'Gershwin's World' disc)?>>

I already have a LHR Ross version of "Twisted" & "Centerpiece", and I wouldn't even
THINK of collecting covers of "Summertime" - that'd be a whole 'nuther animal! ;~)

<<And, you could probably go nuts tracking down every little reissue, but, I also have
"Urge for Going" on George Hamilton IV's 'The Best of George
Hamilton IV' album on RCA Victor #LSP-4265 - from 1970 - in case you happen to be a
completist (would that be an understatement? <smile> ).>>

I would guess that it's the same recording he put out originally...even if it's
different, it's probably more or less the same. So I think we're all right on that.

But I *AM* excited about that Nick DeCaro, so let me know off-list about completing
the exchange, and your name can join the Looooong list of JMDL contributors, without
whom I would be hurtin' fer certain!

Your Nyro project sounds pretty cool too! All I know are the obvious ones; Three Dog
Night, Fifth Dimension, etc. I didn't care too much for the 'official' Nyro tribute
disc.

Bob, who also today picked up new covers of "The Priest" and a vocal version of "Chair
In The Sky"!!

NP: Townsend-Lane, "Annie"
