Nah, not unless it's the kind of oblivion that's transcendent, like
laying on your back in the grass, feeling tickled and looking at the
clouds moving across the sky, or standing in the shallow waves at the
beach and looking down and not being quite sure what's moving, you or
the beach or just the water. Where do you end and uncontrollable nature
start? Or listening to Joni with just a candle for light and where does
her experience end and yours begin? Sometimes there's no separation.
Comfort in melancholy is not ALL that Joni shares with us. She
experiences it, accepts it (which is where the comfort comes in, I
think), learns from it and moves through it.

Welcome to the list, Dolphie. How and when did you discover Joni?

Debra Shea,
taking a break from literally tearing my place apart... well, emptying
closets and drawers and moving furniture... the kind of reorganizing and
throwing out and cleaning that involves complete chaos... I kind of like
it... it's the putting it all back together that will probably be painful
