My first concert, chaperoned by my mother, was (yikes!) David Cassidy.
(Hey! I was 12!)
My first concert NOT chaperoned was Three Dog Night. The James Gang (WITH
Joe Walsh) opened for them. At the Akron Rubber Bowl (say what you will).
My cousins and I thought it was THE BIGGEST THRILL to leave our seats to
join everyone on the field to sing "Celebrate!" Oddly, I think I was
still 12. I have no idea what my parents were thinking!
